GaymerX is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to celebrating and supporting LGBTQ+ people and culture in the world of gaming, with a focus on video games. Through scholarships, consulting, education, advocacy, events and organizing LGBTQIA+ content at major gaming shows, GaymerX strives for more and better LGBTQ+ representation in games content, development staff, and community spaces.
Renegade Publishing is a not-for-profit guild of artists engaged in fanbinding—publishing in extremely limited edition fannish works, including fanfiction, meta, original fic, zines and other works.
The Writers’ League of Texas (WLT) is the largest literary arts organization in Texas, a statewide nonprofit offering programs and services to writers at all stages of their writing careers, from just getting started to publication and beyond.
Founded in 1981, the organization’s mission is to provide a forum for information, support, and sharing among writers; to help writers improve their craft and understand the business of publishing; to promote the interests of writers from diverse cultural, economic, sexual identity and orientation, ethnic, and religious backgrounds; and to elevate the art and enterprise of writing, including supporting and growing the Texas literary community at large.
Community Partners
Chupacabracon is the premiere tabletop RPG and board game convention in the greater Austin area. In 2022 it will again be held at the Wingate by Wyndham Hotel & Conference Center in Round Rock, Texas, just North of Austin, proper. The convention is run by nonprofit foundation Austin Creative Pathways benefiting Extra Life whose mission is to unite thousands of gamers around the world to play games in support of their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
